Honors Forensic Science
​Forensics is a science elective course designed to engage students using a creative, problem-solving, and inquiry-based approach. This course will incorporate multidisciplinary instruction using topics from biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences. Also included will be topics linked to social studies, in particular a glance into law and criminalistics, in addition to math. Students will apply their knowledge in these topics under laboratory supervision and throughout the process of solving forensics-based cases.
APES
The goal of the AP Environmental Science course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and man-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving
and/or preventing them.
HONORS BIOLOGY I
The goal of the Honors Biology I course is to provide students with the scientific
principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of modern biology, to identify and analyze biological, environmental, and social problems, to evaluate the
relative risks associated with these problems, to emphasize application of biological knowledge and critical thinking to examine science as a process of problem solving and discovery.
HEES
Honors Earth and Environmental Science course is designed to provide students with five BIG IDEAS In science. Student are encouraged to participate in inquiry- based learning, investigations, and critical thinking to explore solutions to scientific and geological problems.
